The Pastor will: (1) Support and work with lay leaders to strengthen the ministries of the church; (2) Preach and lead worship leadership, be a resource for lay leaders, offer Pastoral care, and provide pastoral leadership to lay committees such as the Diaconate, Pastoral Relations Committee and Church Council; (3) Coordinate with Music Director and Secretary in Preparation of the Sunday Program, Worship Service and Music.
He/she will also:
a. Worship planning and implementation, including sacramental practices;
b. Provide Spiritual leadership, direction, and care of the congregation and staff;
c. Contribute Monthly letter for the Beacon Newsletter;
d. Attend meetings of Deacons, Church Council and Pastoral Relationship Committee;
e. Provide Pastoral services such as weddings, funerals and Memorial Services
f. Attend as able Church Sponsored Fundraisers, Events and Local Clergy Meetings;
g. Visit shut-ins and hospitalized members when necessary;
h. Monitor the Church Answering Machine on working days.
